Custom wooden chandeliers do not have to hide its structure. For the Estonian Embassy in Riga, Woodplay shows its whole geometry. Ash wood is cut into slim profiles and joined at precise right angles. The system carries the building's interior lighting from the public rooms through to the working spaces.
Each wooden chandelier is built from ash, with integrated dimmable LED profiles set into the wood for even, warm light. Powder-coated metal connectors let the profiles run in different lengths and layouts, so the geometry can grow or contract to fit a room. When the new embassy building opened, eight configurations were already in place, each sized to its space.
The result is a set of Scandinavian-style wooden ceiling lamps that keep a clear structure while feeling quiet and warm. Ash keeps the pieces light in tone and weight, and the right-angled profiles read as a calm grid overhead rather than a fixture. Across eight rooms, no two configurations of the custom wooden chandelier are the same.
