Krulli Park

Krulli Park is a public park and office quarter in Kalamaja, Tallinn, on the former site of the Franz Krull machine works. We designed the park lighting with three of our products: Blackbird catenary lights, Branch pole luminaires and Buoy outdoor globe lights.

Four Blackbird luminaires are suspended between the new Corten-steel building and the old limestone factory wall, keeping the paved street below free of poles. Each forms a five-armed silhouette, with Wannabe LED profiles extending from its central body.

Thirty-five Branch pole-top luminaires light the paths and parking areas of Krulli Park. Branch-03 uses three Wannabe modules to light paths and parking edges, while Branch-06 uses six modules to light parking areas from both sides.

Branch and Blackbird use the same Wannabe LED profile, which gives the two a shared visual language across the park. All luminaires are powder-coated graphite black and specified with warm 3000 K light.

Along the paths, 25 Buoy lights add a lower, softer layer of light. Their semi-transparent, rotomoulded polyethylene shells spread light evenly across the ground. Hidden LED strips beneath the edge of the raised wooden boardwalk and selected seating light the decking and benches from below, with no visible fittings.

The light in Krulli park is organised at three heights. Blackbird hangs over the street between the old factory wall and the new building. Branch luminaires are installed at a height of 5 metres throughout the wider park, while Buoy and the concealed boardwalk strips stay close to the ground.
