Three custom nature-inspired chandeliers light the Estonian Ambassador's Residence in Stockholm. They bring contemporary light into rooms with a strong Art Nouveau character. Each holds its own across the living room, reception room, and dining room without competing with the historic architecture.
The rooms keep their period plasterwork, and the brass leaves catch the light without crowding it. Ginko starts from a single natural form. UDDU Architects asked us for a custom chandelier that would suit the residence and support its architecture. The form starts from the fan-shaped leaf of the ginkgo tree.
Each brass-finish chandelier carries leaves of powder-painted metal, arranged with a subtle asymmetry. That gives each piece a natural rhythm while keeping a clear architectural structure. At night the brass finish warms the light and the leaves throw soft shadows across the ceiling.
