Türi Primary School

For the schoolyard of Türi Primary School in Türi, we installed Timpan illuminated benches for schoolyard seating and lighting, modular elements inspired by the timpani percussion instrument. Arranged individually and in small groups, the benches introduce playfulness into the space while providing both seating and informal play opportunities for children. The soft ambient light supports visibility while maintaining a calm atmosphere, making Timpan well suited for schoolyard lighting and outdoor seating environments.

Timpan combines urban seating and outdoor lighting in a single object, offering a durable and low-maintenance solution for active public spaces. The Timpan urban seating element is manufactured from semi-transparent polyethylene using rotomolding technology, creating an impact-resistant and vandal-resistant body suited to demanding outdoor conditions.

The seating surface is finished in synthetic teak over waterproof plywood, combining the appearance of timber with marine-grade durability. Integrated LED lighting is accessible for maintenance, and each unit is securely anchored through the base.

For school bike parking, we designed and installed Typo bike racks, manufactured from stainless steel. The system combines bicycle parking with urban signage, forming the phrase “meie türi põhikool” and functioning both as secure bike parking and as a spatial marker within the schoolyard.
