Branch is public space lighting for Tartu's Emajõgi riverside, present along the water but not loud. The pole-top luminaire lines the paths around the office building. It reads as part of the setting rather than an object dropped into it.

Light for a riverside has to hold its place without taking over, and that is what Branch does. The form of this outdoor street luminaire takes from the pine, a quiet reference rather than an obvious one. Each luminaire is built around our Wannabe LED profile, a proprietary aluminium extrusion we designed for outdoor work.
The body is anodized aluminium. A fully tempered glass plate with an anti-reflective coating sits between the optics and the weather. It keeps glare down on a path people walk after dark. That is the kind of pedestrian street lighting that stays comfortable up close.
The office building it lines is one of Tartu’s landmarks, designed by Allianss Arhitektid: the city’s first 16-storey office building to meet the LEED Gold near-zero-energy standard, and winner of the Raitwood Facade Award at Wooden Building of the Year 2020. Branch is one of our luminaires, specified here and ready for other public spaces. See more of our public space projects.
