Tree luminaire on the Narva riverside promenade with Narva Castle at sunset

Narva River Promenade

Along the Narva River, a run of 5.5-metre poles curves and branches like the crown of a leafless tree. Tree is un-like's promenade lighting for this stretch of waterfront, set past the walkways and quiet roads at the water's edge. By day the bare branches read as sculpture; after dark they carry the light out over the path.

Each pole holds branching heads on precision ball joints, the riverside pole lighting aimed exactly where it is needed. Designers turn the beams toward the path, the nearby buildings, and the landscape in turn. After dark the branching heads stand out as a clear silhouette along the path.

Tree is built around our Wannabe aluminium LED profile. Anti-reflective tempered glass and customizable optics shape the beam, and a marine-grade finish suits this exposed waterfront pole lighting. Working with Studio Tiiu Truus & JVR Architects , we set the poles to line the water’s edge without crowding the walkway.

Tree belongs to un-like’s range of outdoor pole lights, specified here for an open, weather-exposed waterfront. On the Narva bend, a line of poles reads as a stand of winter trees that give light. See more of our outdoor lighting.
