Cloudberry custom resin chandelier suspended in the Estonian Embassy in Berlin

Estonian Embassy in Berlin

The Estonian Embassy in Berlin wanted lighting that could speak for the country without reaching for the obvious symbols. We answered with Cloudberry, a custom resin chandelier series made as a set of one-of-a-kind pieces, each cluster hand assembled and hanging differently in the room it occupies.

The brief asked for identity rather than decoration, so we began with a single natural form and let it carry the whole installation, from the entrance hall through to the quieter rooms beyond. Visitors meet it before they meet anyone from the embassy.

The cloudberry is a specific thing: a Nordic forest berry, amber and translucent, found at the edges of bogs. We took that form and pushed resin past its usual geometry, into shapes with real depth and irregularity, working closely with Aeris on how the clusters would sit in each room. Each element is hand cast, hand-polished, and fitted with an integrated 12V LED.

The cables are visible by design. Hand-formed coaxial lines run between the forms, suggesting a network and the flow of data, the idea of the cloud. A country that built its identity on digital infrastructure, expressed through something that grows in its forests. See more of our interior chandeliers and custom installations.
