For the T1 Mall in Tallinn, our team was commissioned to create a lighting solution that merges industrial charm with modern elegance, tailored to fit the architectural space perfectly. We designed HEXA luminaire, a customizable and energy-efficient lighting solution that enhances the mall’s aesthetic while meeting all technical requirements. The project features a total of 41 white-colored chandeliers.
HEXA luminaires provide a balance between design and functionality, seamlessly integrating into the mall’s interior. The luminaire has three versatile layers. By rotating and reordering these layers, we created a variety of unique layouts. We also experimented with the distance and angles between the layers, adding a playful touch to the design.
To enhance the visual impact, we positioned chandeliers at different heights, generating a captivating rippling effect along the chandelier-adorned corridors. This dynamic approach brings depth and intrigue to the space.
HEXA is crafted from powder-coated aluminum tubes connected by industrial 6-way tube joints. These joints hold sandblasted, light-diffusing borosilicate glass tubes, each 80 mm long and containing DALI-controllable LED elements.
The LED elements are attached to the 6-way tube joints with ball joints, allowing them to be directed at various angles. The fixture’s wiring is concealed within the aluminum tubes. Each chandelier includes 31 lighting elements, delivering a total luminaire power of 109 watts and a maximum luminous output of 12,000 lumens.
